Unite for Greater Heights

            We only had 5 weeks during the 3rd grading period. It is only a small period of time but all I can say is that it is stressful especially the last week before the Christmas Program. In this small period of time I realize how important Unity is.

       Speech Choir competetion, Rescue Kabataan Magpasikat and Hiphop Finals. These are the things that we have joined in just this week. A two weeks time of preparation. Seems impossible to complete all right? However what made us become successful in this three events that we have joined is that our Unity.

          I realize that when we unite we can make better and more things and we can reach greater heights. Through our unity, we managed to won on the Speech choir competion and on the Rescue Kabataan Magasikat. Though we did not win in the Hiphop finals we are still happy for we did our best to perform well. And this is my realization for the third grading period.

Love: The True Essence of Christmas

           During the time when we are still young, Gifts are the first thing that comes in our mind. We expect that we will recieve a gift from our loved ones. However, as we grow, our insight about Christmas becomes deeper.

           For me as a 15 years-old student, my insight about Christmas had already change. I realized that recieving gifts is not the real essence of it. Thus, Christmas is the time where our saviour Jesus Christ was born. The only son that God sent to this world to save as from our sinful acts. For me now, Christmas is a time to make our relationship with God stronger. Time to thank him and be reflected on the things that had happen during that time.

           Another one is that Christmas is also the best time to show our love to one another. It is not about the foods and gifts that should be present in Christmas. It is our love towards each other. No food for Christmas? That's okay as long as you have your family bind together having a good time and great memories and being a helpful person to the in needs.

           To cut it short Christmas is all about our love. Love towards God, Family, Friends and others. We should all remember that Jesus died in the cross for us. We should be thankful and spread joy in this world.

Equality To Reality

        In a world where we seek that all of our voices will be heard. We seek for equal opportunities, rights, development, respect and acceptance. A dream that no one should be left behind and all will be on top. Can this dream will be turned into reality or this reality   will be turned in just a dream?

          As we open our eyes we cannot deny the fact that we lack everything that could make our world unite and grow further. Equality is being set aside for the beliefs that "Men is stronger than women", "A men should be the one to work for the family". Such beliefs pulls equality away from us. Because of this beliefs men abuse their strength and take the rights of children and women. However with the help of the Violence Against Women and Children Act equality is nearer in our hands for it protects women and children that are being abused and their rights are being violated.

            However this is not the only problem we are facing right now for as our world evolves different sexualities and genders appeared and the term LGBTQIA+ was born. This stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersexual, Asexual and the recently added Pansexuals. They have shaken the world and seeks for equal rights and opportunities for they are being humiliated because of the norms that we have. We have our Gender and Development that does seeks to develop each one of us by respecting and acceepting the capability of one another. It is not about what we look like but it how we show who we really are.

         With these two important things today here in our land, the VAWC and GAD shall only be turn into reality if we accept, love and respect each of us regardless of sexuality, gender and sex. Let us all turn equality to reality.

Clean Air for a Better Day

             

            Through innovation it is true that our lives are easier. With our imaginative minds we can make things that we thought we would never be. However, behind the things that innovation gives us is the destruction of nature. We live comfortably but the nature who is truly the only one who can give what we need to live is dying.

               As we celebrated the National Environmental Awareness Month, it focused on pollution, particularly in air pollution. That is why the theme of this month celebration is "Air Pollution." It's mainly cause is the usage of technologies that produces chemicals in the atmosphere that makes the air polluted. Some of these are the smoke that comes from vehicles and factories. The pollution does not only affect our nature but we humans also. It can also give different kind of diseases to the people.

             It is sad to think that we who are created to be the one that will take care of nature are the ones who are destroying it. now, our wrong doings are also coming back to us. It is not yet late to change we can still save our nature and prevent air pollution to become worse. We just need to discipline ourselves, don't use your vehicles going to near places. Practice to walk in going to near places for it cannot only reduce air pollution but also a good form of exercise. Participate on activities related to nature and also seminars.

           We should take care of nature for the sake of all. We may have made a mistake but it is not too late to change. Let us start from here. Clean air for better day!

Kabataan Pangalagaan nang Kasiyaha'y Tunay na Maranasan

     

       Sa buwan na ito ipinagdiwang ang National Children's Month kung saan ang tema nito ay "Karapatang Pambata: Patuloy na Pahalagahan at Gampanan Tungo sa Magandang Kinabukasan" kung saan mababasa nga natin sa tema na ang pinagtuonan ng pansin ng pagdiriwang na ito ay ang Karapatang Pambata.

        Sa likod mg pagdiriwang na ito ay ang apat nitong layunanin:
       1. Mabigyan ang bata ng maayos at mas magandang pamumuhay;
       2. Ang bata ay naalagaan ng mabuti, malusog at madaling natututo sa magandang kalidad ng edukasyon;
       3. Ang bata ay ligtas at malayo sa karahasan, pang-aabuso at iba pa;
       4. Ang bata ay aktibong nagpapartisipa sa proseso ng paggawa ng desisyon na nakaaapekto sa  kanilang buhay dahil narin sa umuunlad pang kakayahan.


        Ang kabataan ay dapat natin mahalin at pangalagaan dahil sila ang susunod sa atin na mangangalaga at magapapalago sa ating mundong ginagalawan. Kailangan nilang lumaki ng punong-puno ng pagmamahal, kabutihan at mabuting pag-iisip na kinakailangan aa kanilang paglaki upang magkaroon ng maunlad at nagkakaisang lipunan.

Pamilya Susi sa Matagumpay na Hinaharap

     

   Sa buwan ng Nobyembere, ipinagdiwang ng ating paaralan ang Values Month Celebration sa pangunguna ng EsP Club na may temang:" Pamilyang Pilipino Patatagin:Susi sa Paghubog ng Kabataang Maka-Diyos, Makatao, Makakalikasan at Makabansa."

        Sa panahon ngayon, hindi natin maipagkakaila na madami na ang mga pamilyang nasa hindi magandang sitwasyon o minsan ay nagkakawatak watak na. Ang pagdiriwang ng Values Month ngayon ay napakahalaga upang ipaalala sa atin ang kahalagahan ng isang matatag na pamilya.

         Sinasabing pamilya ang pinakamaliit na unit ng lipunan. Subalit, bagama't ito ang pinakamaliit, ito ang may pinakamalaking papel sa ating lipunan. Dito naunang natuto ang isang bata, dito nabubuo ang pagkatao ng isang bata. Sa pamilya nahuhubog ng bata ang kaniyang pananampalataya sa Diyos, pagiging mabuting tao, mapag-alaga sa kalikasan at mapagmahal sa bayan sa pamamagitan ng mga itinuturo at pinapakita ng mga magulang at mga kapatid sa isang bata.

            Ngunit paano mabubuo ang isang magandang pagkatao ng isang bata kung ang kaniyang pamilya ay watak watak? Saan sya patutungo? Sino ang gagabay sa kanya tungo sa kabutihan? Ano ang mangyayari sa katagang "Ang kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan" kung ang kabataan mismo ay walang pamilyang masasandalan sa paghubog ng kaniyang kataohan?
         

           Kaya't nararapat lang natin na patatagin ang pamilyang Pilipino. Dito mabubuo ang mabuting kabataan na mag-aangat sa atin sa hinaharap. Kabataang magpapalaganap ng kabutihan, pagmamahal  sa kapwa, bayan at sa poong Maykapal. Pamilya susi sa matagumpay na hinaharap .

Development through Indigenous Languages

In this year, The United Nations declared that 2019 as the International Year of Indigenous Languages for the people to realize the important contribution of language in world's cultural diversity. That is why our school celebrates the United Nations Month with the theme:" Indigenous Languages Matter for Sustainable Development Peace Building and Reconciliation. "

Language is not only a tool for communication but it represents the identity and culture of a person. Through it, we communicate all throughout the world and plays a big role in creating a better future. However, these languages are now disappear as innovation continues.

      The survival and robustness of indigenous languages plays a vital role in the sustainable development, peace building, and reconciliation processes of the communities that speak them.

        We shall support the celebration of the UN Month ti preserve our Indigenous Languages as we know its important role in our society. Preserve our Indigenous Languages for the betterment of our nation.

Tiresome but Full of Lessons

      In the past 3 years that I've been a high school student, 2nd grading the worst part of my whole school year. I observed that in this grading my mind is full of dark thoughts for the stress caused  by more complicated lessons and harder projects. Maybe it is hard for me for I've joined a lot  of contest and school activities this grading that reasoned me out to not to attend some of my class. Most of my time was spent in preparing for different contest and I have only few time to attend my classes.

      All I can say was, I am EXHAUSTED. I want to take a rest but I can't for we have to spend our weekends to finish our projects and task that were given to us. As I said a while ago, this grading has the hardest projects. However, I am thankful to my friends for they are always there for me. Being with them already makes me feel relax and happy for the funny things they do and jokes. They are the one who help me to catch up on our lessons and they made it easier for me.


     Although this grading was hard, I have learned a thing. I've learned that before anything else, you should always think about yourself. Though we want to do  a lot of things, we should always think if our body can do it. Doing a lot of things could not only affect us physical but it could only affect us psychologically that could lead to depression. We should always think that health comes first.

   
     This grading also made me realize how lucky I am to have a good friends. Friends that could make you happy and are there for you even at bad times. All I can say is that my second grading is tiresome but full of lessons.

    Our teacher play an important role for us students to be successful in our careers. They help us to be a good person throughout the nation. they mold us to be the best versions of us for we children today are the future of our nation.

     It is a very important thing to show our love and appreciation for the things that our teachers have done to us even in just small things. Teachers Day is the best time to do it for it is a day for them to enjoy themselves and for us to show our love and how grateful we are to them. however, we should show how thankful we are to them anytime that we can. it maybe just simple but it means a lot to them.

Intramurals 2019: A Great Time to Enjoy

     Health plays an important role in our life. Having a healthy lifestyle makes us to do a lot of activities and enjoy more our life. As a result to that, the MAPEH Club of Ilocos Sur Natioanl High School spearheaded the school based intramurals for the students to  not only be involve in academic activities but also on other activities such as sports and also the best time to promote healthy and active lifestyle to the students.

     Having Intramurals is also the best opportunity for the students who have skills in sports to prove themselves. The activity did not only focus on the different sports events but also they also focus on the enjoyment of the students that is why on the three days activity there were booths that was build by the different clubs for the other students to have fun. some of the booths were movie, food, message, and blind date booth.

      As a student of the school, this is a helpful activity for us students to have fun and be free from the stress that we have on our academics. I can say that the intramurals in our school this year was a success for the enjoyment that it gives  to the students.

Science Towards Better Nation

  
  Science is a system for exploring and innovation. It can fuel our nation's economic growth. It can form a path for our young people in a competitive marketplace and it can fire our innovation. It also satisfy many basic needs and improve living standards.

     This year, we celebrated the National Science Month with the theme:"Metabolize:Nourishing the Filipino Youth Towards National Well-being"

     At just glance, it talks about eating nutritious foods and having healthy lifestyle. For accomplishing our daily task effectively is hard without proper nutrition.

     However, if we analyze the theme, it seeks on having a safe and healthy environment. It also seeks on the youth to be better version of themselves. It includes socialization and having solutions on every challenge they meet. It helps the people to be innovators with the help of science and technology.

School is Awesome

    School is where the children, the hope of our future , grow as a better person. It is a place together with the teachers mold the student for the best that he can be: enhancing his skill, discovering talents, overcoming weaknesses. these are just the few significant things that the school can give. however, in this generation, children lacks the eagerness to study and find school as a boring place.


    With this, the Department of Education implemented the happy schools movement to promote every school in the region as a better and enjoyable place to study. This movement also aims to offer an alternative motion of the quality of education that values and nurtures learners' diverse talents and strengths.

    In my experience, it is an effective way. It gives as fun in learning from different subjects and it makes our education joyful. we should support the happy school movement for school is full of fun and enjoyment.
