Disaster Management, That's All We Need

Something that happens suddenly and causes much suffering or loss to people, that is disaster. We may experience disaster anytime throughout our day. It can be a flood, tornado, fire, typhoon, crash or anything that can caused damage to people or casualties. As it definition states that it causes suffering or loss and damage to people and casualties. It sounds alarming, isn’t it?

How Neuroscience is Impacting Disaster Management Strategy » Brain World            Due to its effect on people our government implemented the Republic Act 10121 also known as The Disaster Risk Reduction Management Act of 2010 to strengthen the “disaster management” of the Philippines that is a disaster prone country. The Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council DRRMC is in-charge in programs and activities that should take place.

As this month is the National Disaster Resilience Month with theme “Kahandaan sa Sakuna’t Peligro para sa Tunay na Pagbabago” the DRRMC conducteddifferent activities and programs for disaster preparedness. Conducting these activities help a lot of Filipinos to be knowledgable on the things that they should do during, before or after any disaster. The DRRMC also conducted seminars on first aiding a patient and how to shorten the risk that may happen tous.

Disaster Mangement is very important for the reason that it can save a lot of lives. We should participate and support the things because of its benefits to the people. Disaster management is all we need to save the lives of people.

Healthy Lifestyle, Push Natin To!

In this century, we can do things easily and effort less. Lots of processed and unhealthy foods everywhere. Yes, we are living in a century where technology is everywhere and the foods we eat are now unhealthier than expected. Can we live our life to the fullest with this kind of living?
So this year’s nutrition month aims to encourage us to have an active lifestyle and home a healthy diet with theme “Kumain ng wasto at Maging aktibo: push natin to”, when technology is everywhere, our health is more at stake. First of all, with help of technology today we do not exert more efforts on the things we do. Also kids today are growing up with technologies and plays with them. Unlike before that children play outside and develop friendship. People now are not fond of exercising which is bad for their health. This year nutrition month theme is encouraging us to be engaged in different physical activities to boost our energy and develop our Health and Skill Related Components like cardio-vascular endurance. It also helps us to burn the unhealthy fats of our body and for us to be away from different diseases.

Most of us also are now developing unhealthy diets that can cause us serious diseases that may lead us to danger. Our nutrition month theme is here to promote to healthy diets. We should stop eating dangerous foods. Junk foods, oily foods, salty and sweet food. Yes, they are good in out taste but are they good for our health? No! we should prioritize our health because of being unhealthy we may not do the things we wanna do.

Have a healthy lifestyle by starting to lessen the use of technologies. We should also be aware of what are the things that we are eating, we should prioritize its benefits to our body. Start by eating fruits and vegetables everyday. There are the Food Pyramid and The Pinggang Pinoy that the government created for us to be guided on how we eat our meals.

Resiliency on Earthquake through Support And Participation

Resulta ng larawan para sa earthquake drill
Earthquake became one of the worst nightmares of us Filipinos especially to the people who lived near the major faults here in the Philippines. It started when there is a news about a very devastating earthquake we called “The Big One” that might happen. This news brought fear to us Filipinos. That’s why the government has taken actions to prepare us on anything that might happen if “The Big One” will occur.

One of these actions are thee implementation of seminars and training about the safety measure to do before, during or after an earthquake. But I will focus on the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill. This activity aims to make the Filipino citizens to be aware on the things that might happen in case of a strong earthquake. This is a great help for us Filipinos for it will make us prepared on anything that might happen. It also helps our rescue teams for the different circumstances that they might encounter.

Besides on the good contribution of the drill to the people, I observed that not all is participating the drill properly. There are some in our school that are just walking around as if there is no drill that is being done. Others also are playing mobile games and are chatting to each other. Our government is doing the best that they can in making us prepared to the “The Big One”. But we, the citizens are not responsible enough to take part of the activities.

I hope that we should be supportive on this activity for the reason that it’s not for our government but for the sake of us. I hope that we will learn a lot of things about this activity however I hope that we v are not going to use those knowledge. Not to use for the reason that there will be no “Big One’ for us not to use those knowledge. So we should pray to our God to protect us and repent our sins. One last thing, we should share anything that we can learn in this activity and always  help our fellow citizens.

Mr. Rodrigo R. Duterte
President
Philippines

Dear Mr. President:

A good day sir! I would like to thank you for the progress and changes in our country during your administration. You’ve done a lot of things that helped our country in different ways. One of these are the cleanup in Boracay and Manila Bay that became more attractive to tourists. I would like to thank you also for the positive effects of our administration in our economy. Some of these are the peace and order, peace talks and indefinite ceasefire and Philippines having the fastest economic growth in Asia.

I admire you for being bold and you showed the real you in front of the Filipino Citizens. But that cause the others to dislike you and you created a bad image not just to the Filipino citizens but also to other nations. One of the most controversial things that you’ve done is you talked ill about the priests of the Catholic Church. We were hurt by that because we felt insulted.

But still, I thank and admire you because you’ve become a great president in our country although we have problems upon your attitude. I wish you a good health as well to your family. Keep on making our country a better nation.

I hope that you will read my letter for you.

Respectfully yours,

I am a Proud Filipino!

Resulta ng larawan para sa independence day philippines                As a 21st century student, I found out that most of the students like me is considering some important dates in our calendar, just like our “Independence Day”, as just a special holiday. This is serious problem because in their mind it is just a simple holiday and no interest in knowing the reasons why we celebrate it. While reading this you will find out some facts about “Independence Day” and my insights on why do we take this as special day.

We Filipinos, gained our freedom/ independence from the colonization of different nations in June 12, 1898. This is the day when the sacrifices and hardships of our ancestors to gain this independence has been paid off. Having our independence was not easy, it toke a lot of lives to our ancestors and lot of pain to the ones who were left behind. Independence day is a day to remember all those sacrifices and to thank them for what we have now. Without them, maybe we are still out there being humiliated by other nations.

Reminiscing the things that happened in getting our independence will make us to be more proud as a Filipino citizen and we will be able to go out there saying “I’m a proud Filipino”. It is important thing to have a strong nationalism. As a Filipino we should respect, promote and develop and support our nationality. For we are living now in the age that we are being attracted/influence to other nations culture.

“I am a proud Filipino!” and I will never be ashamed of who I am. Independence day is not just a holiday. We should share this to everyone and tell  them the importance of this day. For we are Filipinos and we are invulnerable.

Man Who Seeks The Light

quotes, anime, and Darkness image           A man that is covered into the darkness but always seeks the light. Strong when his wearing the mask but completely broke inside. There are times when he chose to give up however there is God who always strengthen him. Facing every hindrance that come to his life whole-heartedly knowing that these are gifts from God for him the grew as a better man. Not that serious kind of person, always playing around with his friendly face. This person rarely cries for he has already experience the worst nightmare in his life that changed him a lot. Change him to be a person where he doesn’t want someone crying or broken. He wants to see all his love ones happy even if he sacrifices his own happiness. Having his mission to help people who are in need when he became a successful engineer. That is me Erl Zigfreid Nalundasan that always believe that “Smile every chance you get. Not because life has been easy, perfect or exactly as you had anticipated, but because you choose to be happy and grateful for the good things you do have and all the problems you know you don’t have now."
