Resiliency on Earthquake through Support And Participation

Resulta ng larawan para sa earthquake drill
Earthquake became one of the worst nightmares of us Filipinos especially to the people who lived near the major faults here in the Philippines. It started when there is a news about a very devastating earthquake we called “The Big One” that might happen. This news brought fear to us Filipinos. That’s why the government has taken actions to prepare us on anything that might happen if “The Big One” will occur.

One of these actions are thee implementation of seminars and training about the safety measure to do before, during or after an earthquake. But I will focus on the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill. This activity aims to make the Filipino citizens to be aware on the things that might happen in case of a strong earthquake. This is a great help for us Filipinos for it will make us prepared on anything that might happen. It also helps our rescue teams for the different circumstances that they might encounter.

Besides on the good contribution of the drill to the people, I observed that not all is participating the drill properly. There are some in our school that are just walking around as if there is no drill that is being done. Others also are playing mobile games and are chatting to each other. Our government is doing the best that they can in making us prepared to the “The Big One”. But we, the citizens are not responsible enough to take part of the activities.

I hope that we should be supportive on this activity for the reason that it’s not for our government but for the sake of us. I hope that we will learn a lot of things about this activity however I hope that we v are not going to use those knowledge. Not to use for the reason that there will be no “Big One’ for us not to use those knowledge. So we should pray to our God to protect us and repent our sins. One last thing, we should share anything that we can learn in this activity and always  help our fellow citizens.
